Setting theez Records str8

Dj 2daxha yo No.1 Hiphopsosha eMzansi, i got introduced to hiphop by Chukwuma Mtshali ngisayibhoxongwana in the city o choice the capital of kzn the allgutter Pmb which is where i was born and raised. My homie Chucks put it down thick i mean we were listening hottest shit in the 90's back when a hood boi like had to hide his tapes frm my parents espacially my oledi coz hiphop was called "that swearing music", the old man was cool tho may he rest in peace, dude was into "amafilimu amanigga"(black american movies) so much that he was the 1st person in mzansi that i saw put 2 fingers in the air and say "duece"!.....anyway blah blah blah!

Moving on, the Hiphop culture changed my life i am currently still trying figure out if the change was good or bad, there is one thing that i'm sure of and that is "Hiphop made me aware" or maybe "Awe!". I was impressed by how mcees spoke in rhythm over dope beats, next was the content and how informative it is or maybe was depending on what you get from the music. Big up to DjPremo,PeteRock, the late great J.Dilla,Dr.Dre,E-dub,EezyMo'Bee and list goes on, the creation of hiphop beats opened my mind to other genres and understanding how producers creatively fused all music to create another sound, this fueled my love being a deejay and production which took my love for all music to heights of insanity. As a young hood boi back in the days before multiracial schooling the 1st thing that hiphop did was improve my english, next i learnt that i didnt have to even speak this english the way the schools were teaching me, lyk "tsotsi-taal" its all in the understand and this required an open mind, a good ear and willingness to learn! Some of the lectures Hiphop offered me were black history and politics from Africa Bambata and the Zulu Nation, X-Clan,Public Enemy,KRS-One,Talib Kweli,DedPrez to name a few.I got introduced to movements such as "Heal yourself", this so-called "swearing music" was teaching me bout woman and drug abuse, life skills and importance of understanding who u r, where u r from so u can get to where u r going!....nje amanqampunqampu!

Well sithi isilungu esiphezulu "change is the only constant", nowadayz hiphop is competing strong as a prominent stand alone popular genre of music. Theez days there a tons of mceez and styles frm New York to eNkadla, the messages in the music now stretch from 'everything' to 'nothing' different individuals speak bout whateva they feel and pop music formulae has had a great influence in the helping hiphop crossova and of-coarse this makes game even more interesting! I believe ther is sumthing to learn from every skillfull mcee no matter what they represent and this is why i support hiphop!

Konje y am i writting this.......errrr......ummm.......yeah.....nazo ke....

Underground or Commercial i still love all my hiphop!!!!!!!!!Mzansi hiphop being my utmost favourite!!!!!!Currently in Mzansi(south africa) i am of the view that 'underground and commercial r jus marketing terms, if all hiphop was given equal attention tables wud turn some of the popular signed artists wud be on the wack list and sum of the unsigned wud be on the dope list!

This is why i will blog bout Mzansi's hiphop dopeness!
